Install with Confidence. Maintain with Ease.

Step 1

Choose the Right Spot

Place the tank on a rigid, level, and clean surface, away from vibrations or rough ground.

Step 2

Transport with Care

Use two people for small tanks or a lifting rope for larger ones. Avoid dragging or rolling on rough surfaces.

Step 3

Mark & Drill the Hole

Mark the center and draw the required hole size. Use a multisaw cutter for holes up to 2” and a drill for larger sizes. Never use a chisel.

Step 4

Install Fittings

Use rubber gaskets and check nuts on both sides for a leak-proof connection. Follow this for fitting sizes- Up to 500L: 12.5 mm (½ inch) 500–1000L: 19 mm (¾ inch) or 25 mm (1 inch) 1000–2000L: 25 mm (1 inch) or 40 mm (1¼ inch) 2000–5000L: 40 mm (1½ inch)

Step 5

Connect the Pipeline

Ensure all pipelines are well-supported and avoid direct pump connections.

Step 6

Final Checks

Keep the lid closed, check for leaks, and ensure the tank is used within the 10°C to 60°C temperature range.

Icon Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s

Use a multisaw cutter to cut inlet/outlet holes.

Ensure the entire pipeline connected to the tank is well supported.

Always keep the tank lid closed to prevent dust or contaminants from entering.

Use the tank only for atmospheric pressure applications with substances of specific gravity up to 1.

In case of any leakage, stop using the tank immediately and contact Ashirvad Customer Care.

Install the tank on a rigid, plain, and clean surface with full bottom support.

Don’ts

Do not use the tank to store anything other than potable water.

Avoid direct connection of a water pump to the tank.

Use only the recommended fitting sizes based on your tank capacity:
Up to 500L: 12.5 mm (½ inch)
500–1000L: 19 mm (¾ inch) or 25 mm (1 inch)
1000–2000L: 25 mm (1 inch) or 40 mm (1¼ inch)
2000–5000L: 40 mm (1½ inch)

Do not use the tank at ambient temperatures above 60°C (normal service range: 10°C to 60°C).

Ensure the tank is not subjected to external/internal pressure or vacuum.

Do not install the tank near areas with vibration.

Frequently Asked Questions

All water tanks look similar. Why is Ashirvad priced higher?

Ashirvad tanks come with Nano-Silver anti-microbial technology that helps prevent the growth of bacteria, viruses, algae, and fungi. They’re made using Biaxial Roto Molding Technology for better strength and crack resistance, and only 100% virgin, lead-free materials are used. They’re also UV-stabilized, certified food-safe, and built heavier for long-lasting durability.

Using virgin materials ensures the tank is safe, hygienic, and free from contaminants that may be present in recycled plastics. It’s a commitment to quality and your family’s health.

Yes. Ashirvad tanks are NSF-61 certified, RoHS compliant, and CFTRI approved—making them completely safe for storing drinking water.

Absolutely. They’re made with biaxial roto-molding and UV-resistant materials, ensuring long life, structural strength, and resistance to cracking or fading.

Roto-molded tanks (like Ashirvad’s) have even wall thickness, making them stronger and more durable. Blow-molded tanks are quicker to produce but often have weak points and are more prone to cracking. Ashirvad does not manufacture blow-molded tanks.

Clean your tank every 6 months. Ashirvad tanks are designed to support hygiene, but regular cleaning ensures consistently safe water.
