Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Korrosafe piping systems leakproof?

Korrosafe pipes are designed for a 100% leakproof installation when installed correctly. The system uses a solvent welding process that creates a strong, permanent bond between pipes and fittings, eliminating the risk of leaks.

Yes. You can cut Korrosafe pipes using a plywood cutting saw, ratchet cutter, or wheel cutter. Ensure the cut is square (90°) for optimal bonding during joint assembly.

Deburring removes sharp edges and burrs that can obstruct flow or prevent proper joint contact. Beveling the pipe end helps it slide smoothly into the fitting socket, ensuring a secure fit.

Always use Ashirvad CPVC Solvent Adhesive conforming to ASTM D2564 standards. This ensures a strong, durable bond and prevents joint failure.

One-Step: Apply solvent adhesive directly to both the pipe and fitting socket.
Two-Step: Involves applying primer first to soften surfaces, followed by solvent adhesive. This method is recommended for critical applications to ensure maximum bonding strength.

Hold the assembly for at least 3 seconds to allow the joint to set and prevent push-out. A visible bead of adhesive should form around the socket entrance.

No. Never use air or other gases for pressure testing. This can be dangerous and may damage the system. Use water for pressure testing and ensure flow velocities do not exceed 5 feet per second.

Cut off at least 25 mm beyond the visible crack before proceeding with installation. This ensures the integrity of the joint and prevents future leaks.

Yes. Korrosafe offers a complete range of CPVC and uPVC piping systems, each engineered for specific applications such as hot and cold water plumbing, industrial use, and more.

Use the patented alignment system provided with Korrosafe fittings. Proper alignment ensures optimal flow and long-term performance of the piping system.
